About Me

Hello my friends from all over the world!

My name is Juanita Kwarteng and I am currently a student at the University of Missouri (Mizzou). I am currently completing my first year as a Masters student in Counseling Psychology. I also have the pleasure of being the intern for the International Student and Scholar Services.

This blog is for YOU and its purpose is to provide international students with information about their new home!. Feel free to ask questions and address your concerns!

Just a little bit about me: I am a Canadian citizen but I am originally from Ghana (West Africa) and grew up in the Middle East. I love traveling, languages, and transitions!

I have had an AMAZING experience at the University of Missouri (Mizzou). I think that it is a fantastic place and provides an amazing opportunity to individuals from all over the world to learn more about areas they are passionate about.

There are a lot of things that I love about Mizzou! But my favorite things would have to be: my program, my friends from all over the world, summertime, downtown Columbia, and the Mizzou Recreation Center. My hope is that you also find your favorite things about Columbia and have a fantastic experience at Mizzou.

I wish all the best on your adventures at Mizzou!

Be sure to check out the International Center website and the Mizzou ISSS Page on Facebook to learn more about your new adventure at the University of Missouri! We hope that you find this blog a great resource for your transition to Mizzou!

All the best to you!
See you soon!
